Wednesday: hot date, dinner at Pony Club. Thursday sleep in, late breakfast at Tarts, afternoon on the couch together. Friday average work day, quick beer at the pub after work with the boy and other assorted local luminaries before abandoning him for dinner with friends. Saturday involved movie preview morning at Luna and then a quick bite together before I went to the football, Alfred's for dinner and then back to pick up the boy and off to see the Shout Out Louds at the Rosemount. Today is Sunday. We slept in a little and drank coffee on the couch feeling shmoopy and then I got kicked out because I had to come open the shop. Rather have slouched around for a few more hours but not possible. Later, meeting folk at the Scotty for a Sunday arvo beer. Lovely weekend.

Six months ago today, this happened. And by this, I mean that I told that guy I thought he was a bit of alright (using those incredibly awkward words exactly) and then six months ago tomorrow, we had our first date. What I could also mean by this is that Deb took this terrible (in quality) picture of us with her phone's camera and it is still the only recorded image of us that I have. It's a nice occasion to have commemorated though.
Wow, six months have gone by really, really fast.

just simply awesome
Oh boy did I have a wonderful day. Stayed over at the boy's place, slept in way, way, late and then headed to the coast and had lunch at a cafe on the beach and it looked very much like this photo I snaffled from someone on Flickr. I wish I'd had my own camera with me. I love the beach when it's rainy and windswept. Then we headed back home and watched a DVD and the whole day felt like a mini-holiday and it was just what I needed.

and on with it...
The last couple of days have felt like pauses in the middle of a sentence. Maybe because all I did really was work in the cafe and it's hardly my favourite thing in the world. I did notice what a beautiful morning it was on Wednesday, low-lying mist and bright blue skies. That night I had dinner with the boy at a restaurant he once called 'our place' even though we'd only eaten there twice. Stuffed chicken wings certainly are good.
Today though, today's been interesting. Up at the crack of dawn (well actually before the crack of dawn to be precise) to answer phones for Radiothon during Breakfast again and it was mental towards the end. I'm very proud of the boy and the work he does there. He kind of rocks a whole lot.

Would you like to subscribe?
I've been helping out at RTR-FM for Radiothon the last couple of days, answering phones and today I hung out in the office all day entering subscribers into the data base. Office work. I don't think I could do it full time, even in an environment like RTR. It's been fun helping out though and it's been really great to have new experiences. Yay for that.

Follicular committment
Today's good things definitely include this guy's hair. Also: sleeping in, the Dockers winning by a pile, Alfred's for dinner and an early night.
Not so good: my hangover after attending the Radiothon opening party last night. I had such a good time but man, did I pay for it today.
